Brazilian massacre planned in Dark Web forum created by creator of Litecoin fork

The Suzano massacre in Brazil, in which two gunmen aged 17 and 26 killed more than 10 people before committing suicide, was apparently orchestrated in a dark web forum created by a cryptocurrency user who forged Litecoin to create BolsoCoin.

According to Brazilian media, Luíz Henrique de Castro, 26, and Guilherme Taucci Monteiro, 17, were behind the massacre and were apparently motivated by a dark web forum called Dogolachan.

In the far-right forum, users often share anti-Semitic content. Its current administrator, who goes by the name of DPR, helped the two shooters plan the attack by giving them clues. While the identity of DPR is not known, it is known that the person who created Dogolachan is neo-Nazi Marcelo Valle Silveira – a cryptocurrency enthusiast.

Silveira was arrested for incitement to attack migrants and for defending violence and theft against women. In the cryptocurrency space, he is known to forge Litecoin to create BolsoCoin, a “neo-Nazi cryptocurrency” openly inspired by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

BolsoCoin created for the use of the Dark Web Forum

The cryptocurrency, according to a Bitcointalk discussion thread, was specially created for use on “alternative law anonymous imagesboards” like Dogolochan, to be exchanged for services such as tracing real identity and personal information. of a surfer (doxxing) and the call for paramilitary law. – enforcement agencies on someone by reporting a fake crime (swatting).

The thread reads as follows:

Bolsocoin aims to be the first Brazilian alt-right community cryptocurrency. It is currently used on anonymous Brazilian alt-right imagesboards in exchange for doxxing and swating. Its name comes from Jair Bolsonaro, a Brazilian politician à la Trump.

Silveira notably planned crimes similar to the massacre in Brazil that the world recently witnessed, and threatened to bomb local universities. While in prison, Dogolachain is still active.

In it, the massacre is seen as an act of heroism, and the two shooters are treated as heroes. In the past, Wellington Menezes de Oliveira, a criminal who shot 12 children before committing suicide, has also been called a hero. His attack was coordinated through the forum, according to Criptomoedas Fácil.

Dogolachan’s influence in the massacre

The recent massacre in Brazil was influenced by the Deep Web’s imageboard, Dogolachan, as shooters asked forum users for advice and guidance on how to proceed. In a recently revealed article, they thank the administrator, DPR, for his advice.

The message reads (roughly translated):

Thank you very much for your advice and guidance. We hope from the bottom of our hearts that we will not commit this act in vain (…) We were born losers, but we will come out as heroes (…) We are amazed by the quality, worthy of Hollywood films. Unfortunately there are no places to test and everything will happen naturally (…) Stay with God, my mentor.

They further revealed that at least three days before the massacre, they would post a signal involving the lyrics of a well-known song on the forum. DPR himself explained that he had helped the two shooters obtain weapons and described one of them as a “good boy who has discovered in the worst possible way that games can become real nightmares”.

Hide evidence

Soon after the attack, she started making headlines around the world. The Dogolachan administrator, aware that investigators would eventually end up on the forum, revealed he would start destroying and hiding evidence.

In another post, a user named sanctvs posted a photo of one of the shooters and wrote that “they found the profile of one of the heroes.” In a later article, he revealed that he would change the address of the hidden forum in an attempt to prevent investigators from finding it.

DPR himself, according to local media reports, changed the URL or deleted threads in which he helped shooters obtain weapons and plan the attack. The administrator also revealed that he would never reveal any details about his conversations with the attackers, nor that he would “reveal what he knew”.
